SOWETO GETS SPECIAL PRAYER

By Philiphine k Cheptanui
Special prayer was made yesterday at the fire assembly grounds between hostels J and H by the Moi University Christian Union. The Prayer was specifically devoted for the Residents of Soweto to shun from the wicked deeds that have been reported underway within the Soweto residential.

Last year, a case of an infant suspected to have been aborted and tied in a green polythene bag was reported.  At around the same time, another case was told of an upsetting situation in one of the male hostels in Soweto. Students were being disturbed by ‘funny’ noise coming from one of the rooms. Their efforts to establish the cause had ended up in smoke and one day, when nobody could bear any longer, they demanded to know why they could not be given a humble time to rest after the tedious day. It was late in the night and everybody living in the hostel wanted to have a glimpse of what was going on. To their surprise, half of the onlookers were ladies in their night attires. God Forbid.

One week ago, another case of a certain guy who was strangled with a knife in Hostel B was also reported. The unanimous sources said that the ‘double deal’ issue has been rampant in the university at large and therefore it was right for it to happen so that others learn from it.
The above cases and others that have gone uncovered prompted the Moi University Christian Union to call upon God to intervene and salvage the perishing souls. ‘It is God to handle.  The malevolent deeds in these hostels are at the peak,’ Emaculate says.
Like Pilate, the faithful did their part. They washed their hands. Nobody’s sins are on their heads.
